9. Ja Nehemia, maaherra, ja pappi Esra, kirjanoppinut, ja leeviläiset, jotka opettivat kansaa, sanoivat kaikelle kansalle: "Tämä päivä on pyhitetty Herralle, teidän Jumalallenne, älkää murehtiko älkääkä itkekö". Sillä kaikki kansa itki, kun he kuulivat lain sanat.
