45. Vaan kansa sanoi Saulille: pitääkö Jonatanin kuoleman, joka tämän suuren autuuden teki Israelissa? Pois se: niin totta kuin Herra elää, ei hiuskarvakaan pidä hänen päästänsä putooman: sillä Jumala on sen tehnyt tänäpänä hänen kauttansa. Ja näin kansa vapahti Jonatanin kuolemasta.
