17. Ja tapahtui, koska Pharao oli päästänyt kansan, niin ei Jumala johdattanut heitä tietä Philistealaisten maan lävitse, joka tärkin oli; sillä Jumala sanoi, ettei kansa joskus katuisi, koska he näkisivät sodan heitänsä vastaan, ja palajaisi Egyptiin.
