16. Että me tiedämme, ettei ihminen lain töiden kautta vanhurskaaksi tule, vaan uskon kautta Jesuksen Kristuksen päälle: niin me myös olemme uskoneet Jesuksen Kristuksen päälle, että me vanhurskaaksi tulemme uskon kautta Kristuksen päälle, ja emme lain töiden kautta, sentähden ettei yksikään liha tule lain töiden kautta vanhurskaaksi.
