3. Niin Herra sanoi saatanalle: "Oletko pannut merkille palvelijaani Jobia? Sillä ei ole maan päällä hänen vertaistansa; hän on nuhteeton ja rehellinen mies, pelkää Jumalaa ja karttaa pahaa. Vielä hän pysyy hurskaudessansa, ja sinä olet yllyttänyt minut häntä vastaan, tuhoamaan hänet syyttömästi."
