13. Gad vint donc vers David, et lui fit entendre cela en disant : Que veux-tu qui t'arrive : ou sept ans de famine sur ton pays ; ou que durant trois mois tu fuies devant tes ennemis, et qu'ils te poursuivent; ou que durant trois jours la mortalité soit en ton pays? Avises-y maintenant, et regarde ce que tu veux que je réponde à celui qui m'a envoyé.
