2. Il battit aussi les Moabites, et les mesura au cordeau, les faisant coucher par terre; et il en mesura deux cordeaux pour les faire mourir, et un plein cordeau pour leur sauver la vie; et [le pays] des Moabites fut à David sous cette condition, qu'ils lui seraient sujets et tributaires.
