24. C'est pourquoi Daniel alla vers Arioc, que le Roi avait commis pour faire mourir les sages de Babylone, et étant arrivé, il lui parla ainsi : Ne fais point mettre à mort les sages de Babylone, [mais] fais-moi entrer devant le Roi, et je donnerai au Roi l'interprétation [qu'il souhaite].
