17. Και ειπεν ο βασιλευς προς τους δορυφορους τους περιεστωτας εις αυτον, Στρεψατε και θανατωσατε τους ιερεις του Κυριου· επειδη εχουσι και αυτοι την χειρα αυτων μετα του Δαβιδ, και επειδη εγνωρισαν οτι αυτος εφευγε και δεν μοι απηγγειλαν τουτο. Δεν ηθελησαν ομως οι δουλοι του βασιλεως να εκτεινωσι τας χειρας αυτων δια να πεσωσιν επι τους ιερεις του Κυριου.
