16. Ετι δε Μααχα, την μητερα του βασιλεως Ασα, απεβαλεν αυτην του να ηναι βασιλισσα, επειδη εκαμεν ειδωλον εις αλσος· και κατεκοψεν ο Ασα το ειδωλον αυτης και συνετριψε και εκαυσεν αυτο εις τον χειμαρρον Κεδρων.
