15. Και εκαμεν εν Ιερουσαλημ μηχανας, εφευρημενας υπο μηχανικων, δια να ηναι επι των πυργων και επι των γωνιων, ωστε να ριπτωσι δι' αυτων βελη και λιθους μεγαλους· και εξηλθε το ονομα αυτου μακραν· διοτι εβοηθειτο θαυμασιως, εωσου εκραταιωθη.
