3. Ο λαος ομως απεκριθη, Δεν θελεις εξελθει διοτι, εαν τραπωμεν εις φυγην, δεν μελει αυτους περι ημων· ουδε εαν το ημισυ εξ ημων αποθανη, δεν μελει αυτους περι ημων· επειδη τωρα συ εισαι ως ημεις δεκα χιλιαδες· οθεν τωρα ειναι καλητερον να ησαι βοηθος ημων εκ της πολεως.
