7. Και εβοησεν ο βασιλευς μεγαλοφωνως να εισαξωσι τους επαοιδους, τους Χαλδαιους και τους μαντεις. Τοτε ο βασιλευς ελαλησε και ειπε προς τους σοφους της Βαβυλωνος, Οστις αναγνωση την γραφην ταυτην και μοι δειξη την ερμηνειαν αυτης, θελει ενδυθη πορφυραν, και η αλυσος η χρυση θελει τεθη περι τον τραχηλον αυτου και θελει εισθαι ο τριτος αρχων του βασιλειου.
