17. Τωρα λοιπον, εαν φαινηται αρεστον εις τον βασιλεα, ας γεινη ερευνα εν τω θησαυροφυλακιω του βασιλεως τω εν Βαβυλωνι, εαν ηναι αληθινον οτι εξεδοθη διαταγη παρα Κυρου του βασιλεως να οικοδομηθη ο οικος ουτος του Θεου εν Ιερουσαλημ· και ας αποστειλη ο βασιλευς προς ημας την θελησιν αυτου περι τουτου.
