5. Και επειδη δεν εστρεφετο, Επιστρεψον λοιπον, ειπε, προς τον Γεδαλιαν, υιον του Αχικαμ υιου του Σαφαν, τον οποιον ο βασιλευς της Βαβυλωνος κατεστησεν επι τας πολεις του Ιουδα, και κατοικησον μετ' αυτου μεταξυ του λαου· η υπαγε οπου σοι φαινεται αρεστον να υπαγης. Και εδωκεν εις αυτον ο αρχισωματοφυλαξ ζωοτροφιας και δωρα και εξαπεστειλεν αυτον.
