44. Σεις εισθε εκ πατρος του διαβολου και τας επιθυμιας του πατρος σας θελετε να πραττητε. Εκεινος ητο απ' αρχης ανθρωποκτονος και δεν μενει εν τη αληθεια, διοτι αληθεια δεν υπαρχει εν αυτω· οταν λαλη το ψευδος, εκ των ιδιων λαλει, διοτι ειναι ψευστης και ο πατηρ αυτου του ψευδους.
