17. Γιατι ο ιδιος ο Νρωδης, αφου απεστειλε στρατιωτες, κρατησε τον Ιωαννη και τον εδεσε μεσα στη φυλακη εξαιτιας της Νρωδιαδας, της γυναικας του Φιλιππου του αδελφου του, επειδη την νυμφευτηκε.
