17. Εβοηθησεν ομως αυτον Αβισαι, ο υιος της Σερουιας, και επαταξε τον Φιλισταιον και εθανατωσεν αυτον. Τοτε οι ανδρες του Δαβιδ ωμοσαν προς αυτον, λεγοντες, Δεν θελεις εξελθει πλεον μεθ ημων εις πολεμον, δια να μη σβεσης τον λυχνον του Ισραηλ.
