17. és Dávid így szólt Istenhez: »Nemde, én parancsoltam meg, hogy számlálják meg a népet? Én vagyok az, aki vétkeztem, én követtem el gonoszságot. Ez a nyáj mit követett el? Uram Isten, kérlek, forduljon ellenem s atyám háza ellen kezed, de népedet ne sújtsa.«
