41. Amint a vidék kereskedői értesültek erről, igen sok ezüstöt, aranyat vettek magukhoz, meg szolgákat, és elmentek a táborba, hogy rabszolgáknak vegyék meg Izrael fiait. Hozzájuk csatlakoztak ezenkívül a Szíriából és a filiszteusok földjéről jött csapatok is.
