10. Egyszer csak Saul ismét megkísérelte, hogy Dávidot a falhoz szegezze a dárdával, de Dávid elhajolt Saul színe elől, s a dárda, anélkül, hogy sebet ejtett volna, a falba fúródott. Erre Dávid elszaladt és még azon éjjel elmenekült.
