4. Ekkor Saul azt mondta fegyverhordozójának: »Vond ki kardodat, s ölj meg, hogy ide ne találjanak jönni ezek a körülmetéletlenek, s meg ne öljenek engem, s csúfot ne űzzenek belőlem.« Fegyverhordozója azonban nem akarta ezt megtenni, mert igen félt. Erre Saul megragadta a kardot, s beléje dőlt.
