16. Majd a Makkabeus összehívta a hozzá hű hétezer embert, és arra buzdította őket, hogy ne legyenek békés hajlammal az ellenség iránt, és ne ijedjenek meg az igaztalanul rájuk támadó ellenség tömegétől, hanem harcoljanak bátran.
