Sebab itu kepala istana dan kepala kota, juga para tua-tua dan para pengasuh mengirim pesan kepada Yehu, bunyinya: "Kami ini hamba-hambamu dan segala yang kaukatakan kepada kami akan kami lakukan; kami tidak hendak mengangkat seseorang menjadi raja; lakukanlah apa yang baik menurut pemandanganmu."
