37. Pada suatu kali ketika ia sujud menyembah di dalam kuil Nisrokh, allahnya, maka Adramelekh dan Sarezer, anak-anaknya, membunuh dia dengan pedang, dan mereka meloloskan diri ke tanah Ararat. Kemudian Esarhadon, anaknya, menjadi raja menggantikan dia.
