30. Pegawai-pegawainya mengangkut mayatnya dengan kereta dari Megido dan membawanya ke Yerusalem, kemudian mereka menguburkannya dalam kuburnya sendiri. Maka rakyat negeri itu menjemput Yoahas, anak Yosia, mengurapi dia dan mengangkat dia menjadi raja menggantikan ayahnya.
