8. Segera sesudah matahari terbit, maka atas penentuan Allah bertiuplah angin timur yang panas terik, sehingga sinar matahari menyakiti kepala Yunus, lalu rebahlah ia lesu dan berharap supaya mati, katanya: "Lebih baiklah aku mati dari pada hidup."
