Lalu kata Daud selanjutnya, "Jadi sekarang, hai rakyatku, di depan Allah kita dan di depan pertemuan seluruh Israel, umat TUHAN ini, aku minta kalian dengan sungguh-sungguh menuruti segala perintah TUHAN Allah kita. Dengan demikian kalian dapat tetap memiliki negeri yang baik ini dan mewariskannya kepada keturunanmu untuk selama-lamanya."
