17. Anak laki-laki Ezra ada empat orang: Yeter, Mered, Efer dan Yalon. Mered kawin dengan Bica putri raja Mesir. Mereka mendapat seorang anak perempuan bernama Miryam, dan dua anak laki-laki bernama Samai dan Yisba. Yisba adalah pendiri kota Estemoa. Mered juga kawin dengan seorang wanita dari suku Yehuda; anak mereka yang laki-laki ada tiga orang: Yered pendiri kota Gedor, Heber pendiri kota Sokho, dan Yekutiel pendiri kota Zanoah.
