13. Segera Samuel mengambil minyak zaitun itu dan melantik Daud dengan upacara peminyakan di hadapan abang-abangnya. Pada saat itu juga Daud dikuasai oleh Roh TUHAN. Sejak hari itu dan seterusnya Roh TUHAN menyertainya. Kemudian pulanglah Samuel ke Rama.
