3. Lalu berkatalah Samuel kepada umat Israel, "Kalau kamu hendak kembali kepada TUHAN dan menyembah Dia dengan sepenuh hatimu, haruslah kamu membuang semua dewa asing dan patung Dewi Asytoret. Serahkanlah dirimu sama sekali kepada TUHAN dan berbakti kepada-Nya saja, maka kamu akan dibebaskan-Nya dari orang Filistin."
