5. Karena Raja Ahas berdosa, TUHAN Allahnya membiarkan dia dikalahkan oleh raja Siria yang juga mengangkut sejumlah besar orang Yehuda sebagai tawanan ke Damsyik. TUHAN juga membiarkan dia dikalahkan oleh Raja Pekah anak Remalya dari Israel, yang dalam satu hari membunuh 120.000 prajurit Yehuda yang berani-berani. TUHAN, Allah leluhur mereka membiarkan semuanya itu terjadi, karena rakyat Yehuda tidak lagi menghiraukan TUHAN.
