43. Orang Israel menjawab, "Hak kami atas raja sepuluh kali lebih besar dari hak kalian, walaupun raja adalah kerabat kalian. Mengapa kalian pandang enteng terhadap kami? Jangan lupa bahwa kamilah yang pertama-tama sekali mengusulkan untuk membawa raja kembali!" Tetapi orang Yehuda lebih keras daripada orang Israel dan tidak mau kalah.
