TUHAN Yang Mahakuasa, Allah Israel memberi pesan kepadaku untuk Semaya, orang Nehelam, karena Semaya telah mengirim surat atas namanya sendiri kepada seluruh penduduk Yerusalem, kepada Imam Zefanya anak Maaseya, dan kepada semua imam yang lain. Dalam surat itu Semaya menulis begini kepada Zefanya:
