5. Sebelum pergi, Nebuzaradan berkata, "Kalau mau, engkau boleh kembali kepada Gedalya anak Ahikam dan cucu Safan, yang telah diangkat oleh raja Babel menjadi gubernur kota-kota Yehuda. Engkau boleh tinggal dengan dia di antara rakyat, atau pergi ke mana saja menurut keinginanmu." Lalu ia memberikan bekal makanan dan hadiah kepadaku, dan melepaskan aku pergi.
