7. Segera setelah mereka sampai di tengah-tengah kota, Ismael dan orang-orangnya mulai membunuh mereka. Tapi sepuluh di antara mereka berkata kepada Ismael, "Jangan bunuh kami! Kami masih punya dua macam gandum, juga minyak zaitun, dan madu. Semuanya kami sembunyikan di luar kota." Karena itu Ismael tidak membunuh mereka, tapi yang lain dibunuhnya dan mayat mereka dilempar ke dalam sumur.
