3. Tanah di sebelah timur Sungai Yordan sudah diberikan Musa kepada kedua setengah suku bangsa yang lainnya itu. (Perlu dicatat di sini bahwa keturunan Yusuf terbagi dalam dua suku: Suku Manasye dan suku Efraim.) Mengenai suku Lewi, tidak ada tanah yang diberikan Musa kepada mereka. Mereka hanya diberikan kota-kota untuk tempat tinggal, dengan padang-padangnya untuk ternak sapi dan domba mereka.
