12. Besoknya, pagi-pagi sekali, Yosua bangun lalu untuk kedua kalinya para imam dan tentara berbaris mengelilingi kota itu dalam urutan barisan seperti hari sebelumnya: mula-mula barisan pengawal depan, kemudian ketujuh imam peniup trompet, disusul oleh imam-imam yang memikul Peti Perjanjian, dan akhirnya barisan pengawal belakang. Sementara itu trompet terus-menerus dibunyikan.
