29. Raja kota itu digantungnya pada tonggak, dan dibiarkan di situ sampai sore. Pada waktu matahari terbenam, Yosua menyuruh orang mengambil mayat itu dan membuangnya di depan gerbang kota. Kemudian tempat itu ditimbuni dengan banyak sekali batu. Batu-batu itu masih di sana sampai sekarang.
