18. Pada hari yang ketujuh matilah anak itu. Dan pegawai-pegawai Daud takut memberitahukan kepadanya, bahwa anak itu sudah mati. Sebab mereka berkata: "Ketika anak itu masih hidup, kita telah berbicara kepadanya, tetapi ia tidak menghiraukan perkataan kita. Bagaimana kita dapat mengatakan kepadanya: anak itu sudah mati? Jangan-jangan ia mencelakakan diri!"
