9. Kebetulan Absalom bertemu dengan orang-orang Daud. Adapun Absalom menunggangi bagal. Ketika bagal itu lewat di bawah jalinan dahan-dahan pohon tarbantin yang besar, tersangkutlah kepalanya pada pohon tarbantin itu, sehingga ia tergantung antara langit dan bumi, sedang bagal yang dikendarainya berlari terus.
