3. Sampailah Daud ke istananya di Yerusalem, lalu raja mengambil kesepuluh gundik yang ditinggalkannya untuk menunggui istana, kemudian dimasukkannya mereka dalam sebuah rumah di bawah penjagaan. Ia memelihara mereka, tetapi tidak dihampirinya. Mereka tetap terasing seperti janda sampai hari mati mereka.
