24. Jawab mereka kepada Yosua, katanya: "Sebab telah dikabarkan dengan sungguh-sungguh kepada hamba-hambamu ini, bahwa TUHAN, Allahmu, memerintahkan kepada Musa hamba-Nya, memberikan seluruh negeri itu kepadamu dan memunahkan seluruh penduduk negeri itu dari depan kamu, maka sangatlah kami takut kehilangan nyawa, menghadapi kamu; itulah sebabnya kami melakukan yang demikian.
