כט. וְאֶת־מֶלֶךְ הָעַי תָּלָה עַל־הָעֵץ עַד־עֵת הָעָרֶב וּכְבֹוא הַשֶּׁמֶשׁ צִוָּה יְהֹושֻׁעַ וַיֹּרִידוּ אֶת־נִבְלָתֹו מִן־הָעֵץ וַיַּשְׁלִיכוּ אֹותָהּ אֶל־פֶּתַח שַׁעַר הָעִיר וַיָּקִימוּ עָלָיו גַּל־אֲבָנִים גָּדֹול עַד הַיֹּום הַזֶּה׃ פ
