27. En Jónatan hafði eigi hlýtt á, þá er faðir hans lét liðið vinna eiðinn. Hann rétti því út enda stafsins, sem hann hafði í hendinni, og dýfði honum í hunangsseiminn og bar hönd sína að munni sér. Urðu augu hans þá aftur fjörleg.
