11. Hina sömu nótt sendi Sál sendimenn í hús Davíðs til þess að hafa gætur á honum, svo að hann fengi drepið hann um morguninn. En Míkal, kona hans, sagði Davíð frá og mælti: 'Ef þú forðar ekki lífi þínu í nótt, þá verður þú drepinn á morgun.'
