9. Fyrir því sagði Elí við Samúel: 'Far þú og leggstu til svefns, og verði nú á þig kallað, þá svara þú: ,Tala þú, Drottinn, því að þjónn þinn heyrir.'` Fór Samúel þá og lagðist til svefns á sínum stað.
