2. Þá tók Jóseba, dóttir Jórams konungs, systir Ahasía, Jóas Ahasíason á laun úr hóp konungssonanna, er deyða átti, og fól hann og fóstru hans í svefnherberginu. Þannig leyndi hún honum fyrir Atalíu, svo að hann var ekki drepinn.
