26. Þá sögðu menn svo við Assýríukonung: 'Þjóðirnar, er þú fluttir burt og lést setjast að í borgum Samaríu, vita eigi, hver dýrkun landsguðnum ber. Fyrir því hefir hann sent ljón meðal þeirra, og sjá, þau deyða þá, af því að þeir vita ekki, hvað landsguðnum ber.'
