14. Þá sendi Hiskía Júdakonungur boð til Assýríukonungs til Lakís og lét segja honum: 'Ég hefi syndgað, far aftur burt frá mér. Mun ég greiða þér slíkt gjald, er þú á mig leggur.' Þá lagði Assýríukonungur þrjú hundruð talentur silfurs og þrjátíu talentur gulls á Hiskía Júdakonung.
